Video Games - Capcom Remarks on Death Threats Over Devil May Cry Remake
Capcom feels that the death threats received over their upcoming Devil May Cry remake are barbaric.
How exactly did they respond? Find out after the jump

It's no surprise that Capcom is less than thrilled at fan response to Dante' redesign. Dante was already young enough in the third Devil May Cry, but to again explore is origins seems a little counter-productive. However, to the chagrin of many fans, Capcom went ahead and commissioned Team Ninja to head the Devil May Cry remake. Dubbed DmC, Capcom anticipated that this redesign of the beloved Dante would meet fan backlash, but clearly not to this extent.
Responding to death threats via Capcom's blog Capcom-Unity, Christen Stevenson, the the Corporate Officer and Senior Vice-President of Capcom, recently posted a short comment about the situation:
Quote:
Death threats have no place in civilized society. Period.
Stevenson makes a valid point, but it really can't be argued that fandom is a rabid beast. How do you all feel about the direction that Team Ninja and Capcom are taking the Devil May Cry franchise?

As a result, he can often be found lifting things, fighting for justice, and being a crazy outlaw journalist on the edge who doesn't play by the rules, and of course 'nerding out' to the latest and greatest happenings within both nerd culture and the wider world around him.
