Currently studying at Oxford University, Daniel Horowitz is both a prolific writer/editor and a generally hard-working individual who has written extensively around the 'Net for places such as USA Today, MTV, The Faster Times and others. He has now taken on the role of Eye of the Vortex's Editor-in-Chief, and hopes to continue to expand both the content and community of EOV while continuing to appeal to its core audience.

In general, Daniel likes to think of himself as a weird combination of Captain America and Hunter S Thompson minus the extensive drug use. As a result, he can often be found lifting things, fighting for justice, and being a crazy outlaw journalist on the edge who doesn't play by the rules, and of course 'nerding out' to the latest and greatest happenings within both nerd culture and the wider world around him.

In addition to his writings and editing work, Daniel is also an accomplished filmmaker, having directed, produced and edited a documentary about culture and community at New York Comic Con. He has also worked on a host of short films.

Next year, Daniel will return to Sarah Lawrence College, where he will finish up his degree and then decide the next step of his life, which will either involve a post-graduate scholarship to further his education, or a job that is hopefully affiliated with the TV, film, video game or comic book industries.

When he's not involved in his creative endeavors, Daniel enjoys playing video games, spending copious amounts of time on the Internet and just generally laying about either on his own or with some friends.
