This is a personal editorial of our new ever changing culture - and maybe - a guide of how to move through it without becoming forever addicted it.
Part One is going to start with a case study of the recent Sherrod News Case. What went wrong, how to stop it (conjecture), and why the whole mess was such a big story to begin with. Check it out after the jump.
Eye of the Vortex, the site, has officially lived thought the first year. Of which, we went though three site designs (one of which you never saw), Several Staff arguments, several hundred bugs and glitches, issues in every browser known to man, two changes to the Magazine and one more on the way. Let's see where we have come from in one years time.
Why pay top dollar for crappy games when you can get tons of high quality games for free or super cheap.Join Michael Zeora as he gets super techy on you about having fun.
Only a little late (my fault), we have a fantastic but small EOV this round out, but make sure you read the Editorial and the article on the changes EOV is going through, not to make any major spoilers, it's going to be awesome, I promise.
EOV October was completed, but due to a recent hacking we have lost all that data (because I didn't back it up yet...) so right now the October Mag is down. We'll have it back by Monday
Yep, it's another one, and again this month we have gone with the Web based variant of the Mag, hopefully we'll see a bit more people having less issues with this version over the September issue. We have some great articles including spoiler from Battle Spirits and a MonPoc interview enjoy!
EOV September (our web baised version of the magizine) sadly isn't working in IE7 and I'm personally very sorry for that inconvience. Of course I would love to see IE7 just drop off the map with it's non-standard implimentations. Until then, I'm going to try what I can over the next few days with help from Jason and Josh to resolve these issues ASAP. On other good news though, several other bugs around the site have been resolved and currently this is the only one that I know of and it's only happening in IE7.
Twitter was Hacked today (today being Aug. 6th 2009) so I took down EOV's Twitter until I could confirm that Twitter was returned to something close to normal.
We have little things going wrong with the RSS feed, For those who use it, thank you, and I'm sorry it took me so long to fix it, but it's fixed and working fairly well. Thanks for visiting EoV (also please click on our ads and buy the mag!)
Well, we see that now on every page of the EOV for those who do have forum logins, you can now login from the main page. Sure this is all it does for now, but we plan for Forum Users to have some really cool things to do on the main site later, so I'm launching the needed stuff for those more technical updates now.
Thanks to Jason Ford's again brilliant work for us we have a cleaner theme. Ford's Graphical work and HTML/CSS while I (Michael_Zeora) worked the powers of Javascript and PHP. I hope you enjoy the new theme.
Again the all-star team of writers, illustrators, and editors have put out another quality issue of the Eye of the Vortex. This issue offers a selection of humorous articles as well as serious articles, all balled into one.
